Tiger of Sweden – NK woman
During the summer of 2016, there was a comprehensive remake at the NK department store in Stockholm. During this period, a total renovation was done on Tiger of Sweden’s women’s department. Architect firm, Boys Don’t Cry changed the layout of the new space, making it a more open plan solution that was desired to provide a more even flow throughout the store. The existing stationary podium that was placed in the front of the store was removed, which resulted in the entire front of the store becoming a large single entrance. A custom-made carpet with a light tone was made for this project to make the shop space feel more feminine, since only women’s clothing is sold. The shop is characterized by a lighter expression, from the white panels in the changing rooms to the champagne-colored draperies. The small simple adjustments like these gave the interior design a new expression.
